50 + Club Visit our Webpage
Membership in this organization is open to parishioners who are fifty years old or older, with the purpose of providing activities and companionship.
The group sponsors events such as day trips, overnight trips, cruises, breakfasts, picnics and other social activities. A club group is responsible for planting and maintaining the flowers and plans in front of Church and the Rectory. Another group counts the collection from Mass on Monday. The club supports the Apostolic Works Ministry, Seedbearers and provides a scholarship for eighth grade parish student. It makes regular contributions to Sts. Joachim and Ann Food Pantry. Meetings are held monthly on the third Thursday.

Adult Education & Enrichment
This group plans and presents programs, which help to further and enrich the adult understanding of our Catholic faith and draw us into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Currently three sub-teams exist: The Lent Team, The Fall Team, and The Bible Study Team. New members for all three teams are encouraged and welcome.

Twelve teams of parishioners - men, women and families - are responsible for keeping the church clean. The teams meet during their assigned month, usually once a week, to do light cleaning of the church. There are two general cleanings with as many members as possible. One is before Christmas; the other is before Easter.

The ACA is an annual fundraiser to support the Archdiocesan Programs. Help is always needed in April and May to assist members of the parish to secure pledges and make follow-up phone calls.

This ministry focuses its efforts on those parishioners (or anyone within our parish boundary lines) in need of financial assistance, most often in the form of mortgage/rent help, utility bills, and food vouchers. Transportation and funeral luncheons are two other services of AWM. A monthly program, BAG-It, is sponsored by the ministry to collect food and other items for local charities.

The mission of the Athletic Association is to provide organized sporting programs in arecreational environment for all children in the parish. Any person that has a child playing in our programs is recognized as a member of the Athletic Association with full voting rights. The Athletic Board is composed of 5 members; president, two vice-presidents, treasurer, and secretary. There are also four coordinators of the following sports: Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer and Baseball/Softball/T-Ball. Other positions include field maintenance, equipment managers and concession stand coordinators. Meetings are held on the third Monday of each month, 7:30PM in the school cafeteria. Bible Study
The Bible Study team (a subgroup of Adult Education and Enrichment) offers ongoing, weekly Bible Study on Thursday evenings. We generally cover one chapter of The Bible each week. Time is spent in small group discussion beginning at 7:30 PM. A lecture is presented at 8:15 PM. All adults are welcome to attend both or either session.

Christ Renews His Parish or CRHP (pronounced "Chirp"), is a weekend, spiritual renewal experience which brings adult parishioners together in small groups in order to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ and each other. The weekend consists of presentations, talks, sharing, laughing, praying, discussions and fellowship. Women's and Men's weekends are held separately each summer and winter.

Those who assist in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ at weekend Masses, Holy Days and special events; also known as Ministers of Communion. Persons who wish to become Eucharistic Ministers submit their names to the Pastor. With his approval, names are submitted to the Archdiocese. Training and commissioning follow the approval. Finance & Administration Committee
The Finance Committee is a group of individuals who assist the Pastor in planning, providing for, and supervising the financial affairs and physical properties of the parish. The committee is concerned with parish resources, the budget, church support, and the effective utilization and maintenance of the parish. They advise the pastor on all issues or projects he may present to them. The six members of the Commission are appointed by the pastor for a 3-year term. The finance commission, as a rule, meets the third Monday of every month in the rectory basement at 7:30pm.

Gift Bearers
Individuals and families are asked to present the bread and wine with the Gifts of Treasure at the Presentation of the gifts during Mass. Sacristans choose volunteers for weekend Masses, holidays and special events. If you would like to present the gifts, ask the Sacristan who is setting up for Mass. No special training is necessary. Liturgy Committee
This Committee is comprised of parish members who meet on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm in the Rectory Basement to discuss and plan the liturgy for each liturgical season and major feast of the liturgical year. The committee works with the parish priests, music ministers and lectors in an effort to enhance the prayerfulness of church celebrations. The committee also meets to coordinate any concerns of all the liturgical ministries of the parish. Home & School Association
The purpose of the association is to provide a channel of communication between parents and the school, promoting an understanding and appreciation to Catholic education and the Regional School. Membership is open to parents and guardians of all students. The association meets four times a year. We encourage all parents/gaurdians to participate. Barnes St. Peters Hospital is within the parish boundaries and the spiritual care of the patients is the responsibility of the parish. Visiting the Catholic patients, distributing the Eucharist and listening to their needs are part of this ministry. The parish priests assist as needed. Training will be provided. Knights of Columbus - Ladies Auxiliary
The objectives of the KoC Ladies Auxiliary are: to promote sociability among the members, to assist in promoting the welfare of the KoC, and to promote charitable activities. Any wife/widow of a Knight, mother of a Knight or a daughter (18 years or older) of a Knight, in good standing, is eligible to be a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. Meetings are held the fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 PM in the School Cafeteria.

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic men's fraternal benefit society that was formed to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works.
The St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Council and Ladies Auxiliary have four primary fundraisers: Lenten Fish Fries, monthly Teen Dances for grades 6 through 8, annual Mouse Race, Tootsie Roll drive and other occasional events. The Council also provides physical and monetary support for many causes and activities. Some of these are Vocations, a variety of Pro-life, St. Charles Clown Club, mentally and physically disabled, parish functions such as School Picnic and special events, Apostolic Works, youth Impact, Seed Bearers, local - regional - state Basketball Free Throw, youth Essay and Poster Contests, sponsor of the Cub Scouts pack 976, blood drives, flu shots and much more.

The mission of this group is to faithfully proclaim the gospel of the Lord at all weekend Masses and Holy Days. There are currently more than 75 parishioners who lend their talents in this endeavor. The recent addition of teenagers to this ministry program was a success over the past year as was the scheduling of two lectors at each Mass. Both practices will continue over the course of the next year allowing for an increase in the frequency of participation by each lector. Marriage Encounter
This is a Christian faith group for married couples meeting monthly to listen to presentations and share on marriage and family topics. The emphasis is on couple communications and enriching married life. The group, in conjunction with the St. Louis Marriage Encounter, also coordinates weekends for married couples who wish to strengthen communications and enhance the living sacrament of marriage.

The Men's Club is a social/service organization open to all men of the parish. Through a variety of social and Christian service activities the Men's Club plays a vital role in promoting the physical and spiritual welfare of our parish family. Annual fundraising events such as the Trivia Night, Youth Soccer Camps and Spring Golf Tournament provide the necessary revenue to continue our financial support of the parish. These parishioners welcome the faithful as they arrive for Mass. They assist in seating, collecting and taking up the Gifts and distributing bulletins at weekend Masses. They also make sure the church is presentable before and after Mass.

This is a ministry dedicated to the mothers of young children. From the moment a mother discovers she is pregnant until her youngest child enters first grade she is eligible to be part of MOPS. The MOPS group meets in the evening throughout the school year on the second Monday of the month. We will also schedule some daytime activities with our children. Our meetings focus on mothering because mothering matters.

The purpose of this group is to coordinate the liturgical music of the parish and to enhance our prayers in sound and song. Choirs lead the parish in singing both traditional and contemporary music, accompanied by a variety of musical instruments, thereby fostering a deeper sense of God's presence through the appropriate liturgical theme.

The primary purpose of the council are to formulate long term goals and policies aimed at serving the total needs of all parishioners including: spiritual, maternal, social, and educational. Other responsibilities of the Council include promoting dialogue between parishioners and the parish staff; co-coordinating parish activities; serving as advisors to the Pastor; developing community within the parish, etc. One of the prime roles of the Council is to be a model Christian Community. To the end, individuals and communal prayer and personal Christian formation are of utmost importance to Council Members. PSR serves the religious educational needs of the students in grades 1 through 8 who are enrolled in a public school. Our catechists are men and women who want to share their faith, which work closely with the Coordinator of Religious Education and are willing to work toward a certification as catechists through the Archdiocese Paul VI Institute. Catechists and substitutes are always needed.

PSR Advisory Board
This is comprised of parents of children in the PSR program and was established to help the administration shape and foster religious education efforts in accord with the parish mission. The Advisory Board serves to assist not only in the development of policy and procedure, but also program initiatives and projects that will create opportunities for and facilitate parental involvement. Officers of Chairperson, Vice-Chair and Secretary are appointed and serve 3-year terms. Monthly meetings August through May are attended by the PSR Director, Board officers, standing committee chairs, 3-5 members at large, parish council and priest representatives. Parents are welcome. The Pastoral Care Committee: Parishioners Helping Parishioners
The purpose of the Committee is to address and coordinate the ministry of pastoral care as it relates to the families of the parish. There are five subcommittees of: Meals, Transportation, Resprite, Domestic Services and Financal Advisory.
Perpetual Adoration (chapel)
In the chapel, located behind the sanctuary of the main church, the Blessed Sacrament is perpetually exposed. The Perpetual Adoration chapel offers parishioners a place for quiet prayer, reflection and adoration. To obtain the nighttime keypad code, call the Rectory. To sign up for Perpetual Adoration call the coordinator. PSR Community Spirit Building
This is a voluntary organization comprised of PSR parents or guardians inspired to build the fellowship aspects that are vital to the expression of our Catholic faith. Involvement is open to interested parishioners. The committee meets monthly, or as needed, September through May. Prayer Chain
The prayer chain is composed of a group of parishioners who pray for the needs of other parishioners, families and friends. Prayer requests can be made at any time. Each person on the chain calls another to pass on the prayer request. All are welcome to join.

The purpose of this group is to give praise to the Lord in both song and open prayer, and also encourage and support one another to grow and mature as Catholics. They meet every Tuesday evening at 7:30pm in the Music Room of school.

The parish Pro-Life Committee works closely with the Archdiocesan Pro-Life Committee to keep
parishioners informed of state and federal Pro-Life issues. They sponsor letter-writing campaigns, maintain a phone tree and participate in activities such as life chain. Their main purpose is to heighten the awareness of Pro-Life issues. The Pro-Life Committee accepts donations for the St. Charles Birthright and other Pro-Life organizations after all Masses on the first Sunday of the month. . Birthright offers alternatives to abortion and provides counseling and health care for the mother. Volunteers are needed on a monthly basis to collect after the Masses.

The quilters hand-quilt prepared tops for people who have need of this service. All fees charged are given to the Church.They meet every Tuesday morning in the Parish Hall (below the church).

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) Visit our Webpage
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a process for welcoming and assisting prospective Catholics in their journey to become active members of our Catholic faith community. The RCIA group meets weekly from early fall until Pentecost. The RCIA process also affords an excellent opportunity for those who are already Catholic to re-examine and renew their own relationship with God by serving as a sponsor or team member.

The SCRIP gift certificate program is an ongoing fundraiser for the parish, averaging $20,000 in profit per year. The parish purchases gift certificates from area merchants at a discount, parishioners buy them at face value and the profits stay in the parish. Order forms can be printed and certificates are also available for purchase at the Rectory during office hours and after all weekend Masses.

Our SESR community has a yearly picnic/carnival event, the first Friday/Saturday weekend in June. This annual fundraiser is run solely on volunteers that help coordinate, plan, set up, run booths, and clean up afterwards. Stephen Ministry is grounded in Jesus’ command to love one another. The Stephen Series is a system for training laypeople to do caring ministry. Those training for Stephen Ministry will learn skills and develop their talents for brining Christ’s’ healing love to people who are grieving, depressed or experiencing other stresses in life. A Stephen Minister is not a counselor or therapist, a problem-solver or a casual visitor. A Stephen Minister is one who cares, listens and shares God’s love with an individual person to help them get through the confusion, stress or loneliness they may be experiencing. The eight elected members of the St. Elizabeth/St. Robert Region School Board advise and assist the Pastors in the establishment of policies, plans and programs for the school. Four members serve on the Board from each Parish. The Board works with the school administration in the areas of long-range planning, finance and public relations. Meetings are held on the first Monday in September, October, January, February and May. Welcoming Committee
This is a group of parishioners who welcomes new members to the parish. The first weekend of every month is Registration Week for all new parishioners. They are greeted at the back of church where they fill out all pertinent registration information. They are then given a welcoming packet and a mug. Members of this committee are able to answer any questions that new parishioners might have. If you are interested in joining the welcoming committee, or it you are new and would like more information about the parish please give us a call.

Vacation Bible School is an exciting weeklong summer program for children ages 3 years old through 6th grade. The children learn about their friend, Jesus, through lessons, crafts, songs and much more. VBS has an enrollment of approximately 200 children and 50 teen helpers. We need at least 40 adult volunteers to help run this week smoothly. Watch the approaching spring bulletins for more information.
