The Parish Council is a ministry formed in accordance with Archdiocesan regulations and the directives of Vatican II. The primary purposes of the council are to formulate long term goals and policies aimed at serving the total needs of all parishioners including: spiritual, material, social and educational. Other responsibilities of the Council include: promoting dialogue between parishioners and the parish staff; co-coordinating parish activities; serving as advisors to the Pastor; developing community within the parish, etc. One of the prime roles of the Council is to be a model Christian Community. To this end, individual and communal prayer and personal Christian formation are of utmost importance to Council Members. All Parish Council meetings are open to all parishioners. The Parish Council meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Rectory meeting Room.

Each of the nine Council members serves a three-year term. A selection process chooses three new members in December of each year. It is open to all adult parishioners and orientation is by current council members.
