"Go, therefore,
and make disciples of all nations. . .
teaching them to observe all that I have
commanded you." Matt 28:19
Jesus charged the apostles with a catechetical mandate, teach "them to observe all that
I have commanded you." The apostolic mission of teaching the ways of faith has been carried out in every age of Christianity by
those who follow Christ. From the earliest days of the formation of the
Apostle's Creed
the famous early document in Greek, the Didache (teachings of the apostles),
to the publication of the current Universal Catechism of the Catholic Church
-- the work of passing on the faith through teaching the meaning of the good news of Jesus Christ is a fundamental work of the Church. The primary focus of catechesis at SEAS is accomplished through
the educational ministries found here.
