further and enrich the adult understanding of our Catholic faith as well
as other topics of interest to adults.

Apostolic
Works Ministry (AWM)

This ministry focuses its efforts on those parishioners (or anyone
within our parish boundary lines) in need of financial assistance, most
often in the form of mortgage/rent help, utility bills, and food
vouchers. Transportation and funeral luncheons are two other
services of AWM. A monthly program, BAG-It, is sponsored by the
ministry to collect food and other items for local charities.

Bible
Study - Trudy Pomeroy 940-2029
The Bible Study team (a subgroup of Adult Education and Enrichment)
offers ongoing, weekly Bible Study on Thursday evenings. We
generally cover one chapter of The Bible each week. Time is spent
in small group discussion beginning at 7:30 PM. A lecture is
presented at 8:15 PM. All adults are welcome to attend both or
either session.

Hospital
Ministry - Joan Miller 447-0049
Barnes St. Peters Hospital is within the parish boundaries and the
spiritual care of the patients is the responsibility of the
parish. Visiting the Catholic patients, distributing the Eucharist
and listening to their needs are part of this ministry. The parish
priests assist as needed. Training will be provided.

Knights

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic, Family, Fraternal, Pro-Life and
Service organization open to all practicing Catholic men 18 years and
older. The principles of the Order are Charity, Unity, Fraternity
and Patriotism.

of C Ladies Auxiliary - Lucy

The objectives of the KoC Ladies Auxiliary are: to promote sociability
among the members, to assist in promoting the welfare of the KoC, and to
promote charitable activities. Any wife/widow of a Knight, mother
of a Knight or a daughter (18 years or older) of a Knight, in good
standing, is eligible to be a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
Meetings are held the second Monday of each month at 7:00 PM in the
School Cafeteria.

Marriage
Encounter - Julie and Jerry Cinco 922-2262
This is a Christian faith group for married couples
meeting monthly to listen to presentations and share on marriage and
family topics. The emphasis is on couple communications and
enriching married life. The group, in conjunction with the St.
Louis Marriage Encounter, also coordinates weekends for married
couples who wish to strengthen communications and enhance the living
sacrament of marriage. |

Prayer
Group - Bob Grabowski 441-5818
The Charismatic Prayer Group meets on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 PM
in the School Music Room. The purpose of the group is to give
praise to the Lord in both song and open prayer, and also to encourage
and support one another to grow and mature as Catholics.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a process for welcoming
and assisting prospective Catholics in their journey to become active
members of our Catholic faith community. The RCIA group meets
weekly from early fall until Pentecost. The RCIA process also
affords an excellent opportunity for those who are already Catholic to
re-examine and renew their own relationship with God by serving as a
sponsor or team member.

Seedbearers

The Seedbearer Program, which started in 1991, is an annual youth
ministry project sponsored by St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish.
Teens and adult leaders spend a summer week in a small rural town
repairing homes of elderly or less fortunate people, while building
memorable relationships with these families and living in a
spiritually-oriented community. Seedbearers is open to those who
have graduated from 8th grade through high school as well as adult
volunteers.

VBS is an exciting weeklong summer program for
children ages 3 years old through 6th grade. The children learn
about their friend, Jesus, through lessons, crafts, songs and much
more. VBS has an enrollment of about 400 children, 100 teen
helpers and 100 adult volunteers. As summer approaches watch the
bulletin for more information.
